Anonymous asked: My girlfriend's favorite merch & character from your store has always been Ponwan, but I haven't seen any new stuff with them in a long time. Do you think you'll ever be doing more in the future? Side note, I LOVE the redesign/updated art & merch you've done of Doki Fox!

Answer:

I have actually returned to Ponwan recently! I drew this image of her not long ago: https://celesse.tumblr.com/post/184142487266/finally-revisiting-my-precious-red-panda-baby

I’ve gotten stickers made of this design (coming to the shop soon) and I want to do more new things with her, maybe a pin or some charms or something. I’ve missed her! Also thank you so much, I’m glad you’re enjoying the new art of Doki ^^

Anonymous asked: will you ever be bringing the cat broom rider necklace back?

Answer:

I’m not sure! There’s a small chance I will for Halloween this year, but I might also decide to do a new design instead. I wish I could keep all my designs in stock all the time!

51-percent-coffee asked: Hi! I can't remember if I've asked before, and I couldn't find a faq or anything that had the answer beforehand, but I wanted to ask how you felt about people getting tattoos of your are because your Eevee and Pikachu berry dress designs are so cute and I would LOVE to get them as thigh pieces! But only with your consent as the artist. If not it's cool, but I wanted to ask to make sure.

Answer:

I really should make a mini FAQ that includes this, but yes, you can use my art for tattoos as long as it’s not for profit (ie being sold as a design in a shop or something). I’d also love to see pictures!

Anonymous asked: I recently bought one of your cottagecore bunny pins and I’ve been meaning to say that I absolutely love it! It looks more amazing in person than on the site and the pin backing holds bonny onto my jacket really tightly so I’m not afraid I’ll lose my precious pin. I’m a huge fan of your art and you inspire me more than I can say and I’m so happy to have such a wonderful pin made by my favorite artist!

Answer:

Thank you so much! I’m really glad the pin exceeded your expectations, they really did come out amazing. I’m very happy with them, so it’s great to hear everybody feels the same ^__^ Thank you again!!

Answer:

If you’d like! I’m 100% fine with any interpretation of the image.

tinseltina asked: quick question! how did you learn to draw such cute animals? i'm always scared that i wont include enough anatomical correctness but then go overboard and its not cute enough. how doyou find a balance?

Answer:

This is kind of a hard question to answer because I pretty much just feel it out, using reference and adjusting it where I feel like it. There’s so many different ways to draw an animal, whether it’s extremely cartoony or more realistic, and it really just depends on the look you prefer or need.

In the past I’ve leaned more towards simplifying and exaggerating the kawaii factor but it can still be recognizable as the intended animal, so I wouldn’t worry too much about anatomical correctness and focus more on making it cute and fun to look at. As long as you stick to the basic anatomy (ex rabbits have long ears, foxes have a narrow snout, birds have wings and not hands, etc) it should be fine.

If you’re trying to stick to a more realistic look but want to up the cute factor, try to pay attention to what makes it cute. Look up lots of references of the animal and determine which images are cuter and why. Face shape, eye size, body proportions and etc. all play a part. Try to incorporate it.

I hope this helps! Good luck :)

Anonymous asked: hi!! would you consider putting your countrycore red panda illustration on your Inprnt shop? I would love to buy it!!

Answer:

It’s too sketchy and small to do a print of it as-is, but I’ll see if I can clean it up and add it at some point soon ^^
