Today’s just another Sunday for me, Anon-chan. Like rape, murder, and large scale arson, romance is something I have no personal experience with nor desire for, but I find it very usefully exploited in fiction :3

Duane is without a doubt the most romantic, yes. He’d remember anniversaries that Leysa forgot, bringing her home a bouquet of white roses because three years ago this was their first snow together, or a tiny cake in a pretty box because she’d seemed gloomy that morning before he left for work. On an after supper stroll he might light the path ahead of them with beglamoured candles, or make sure the cobbler had the shoes she’d seen in the window last week in her size so he could surprise her with them when they passed. Or, during the brief window between the kids going to bed and the in-laws coming home from their card game, to woo her he’d start huskily singing opera libretto, throw Leysa down atop the laundry table, then apologise profusely for bumping her head and be much gentler ravishing her afterwards.

Duane loves as hard as he hates, and woe betide anyone who is the object of either.
